RetroArms CNC Dural Piston Head is a precisely manufactured piston head made of strong aluminum (duralumin), designed for AEG airsoft guns. The construction with 10 pressure holes ensures proper pressure of the sealing O-ring against the cylinder wall. The integrated thrust bearing reduces spring twisting, while the duralumin construction is suitable for use with strong springs.

It is made by precise CNC turning from free-machining aluminium alloy EN AW 2007, providing low weight and a solid construction. The nozzles are available in standard lengths from 19.6 mm to 35.5 mm. The sealing O-ring must be lubricated before use.

RetroArms Reinforced Piston with 16 Steel Teeth is a durable AEG piston with a Polyamide PA6.6 body reinforced with 30% carbon fiber and 5% molybdenum. The steel rack made of spring steel 14260 (54SiCr6) is CNC machined and subsequently hardened to a hardness of 52–54 HRC. The design is also suitable for setups with very strong springs.

RetroArms CNC Dural Piston Head
The piston head is precisely CNC-machined from high-strength duralumin. The centering O-ring helps reduce friction between the piston head and cylinder, reduces cylinder wear and decreases stress on the edge of the piston head. The thrust bearing also allows the spring to move more freely during compression without unwanted twisting.

Maintenance
We recommend lubricating the sealing components with Teflon grease, but make sure it does not get into the pressure holes. Clogged holes can significantly reduce the performance of the piston head. We also recommend regularly lubricating the thrust ball bearing. Seals and bearings are available separately.
