Specna Arms silicone oil
Specna Arms silicone oil is a universal maintenance and preservation product suitable for regular servicing of airsoft guns. Its main advantage is its low viscosity and ability to penetrate areas that are difficult to reach with thicker grease. It is particularly suitable for light lubrication and treatment of O-rings, seals, gas magazine valves and other suitable moving components. The silicone base is gentle on common rubber and plastic parts used in airsoft mechanisms and helps maintain their flexibility while reducing drying and premature ageing. The spray application also makes it easier to apply a small amount of oil during routine maintenance. However, silicone oil does not replace grease in mechanically highly stressed areas – for example, AEG gearbox gears require more adhesive PTFE or ceramic grease. Likewise, the oil should not be applied to the hop-up bucking or inner barrel, as an oily surface negatively affects the friction required to impart proper spin to BBs.

What is the difference between silicone oil and silicone grease?
Oil is significantly thinner, easily penetrates narrow spaces and is suitable for quick, regular maintenance. Grease is thicker and more adhesive, so it stays in a specific area more effectively and is suitable, for example, for targeted lubrication of O-rings during a complete service.
Is silicone oil suitable for gas magazine valves?
Yes. A small amount of silicone oil can be used to treat suitable sealing components in GBB and CO2 magazine valves. Do not overapply it – the goal is to create only a light lubricating film.
