A pair of powerful UV LEDs illuminates TRACER BBs as they pass through the hop-up unit. This means that using illuminated BBs does not require the installation of a conventional tracer suppressor on the muzzle. This version is specially prepared for PolarStar HPA systems with an FCU, such as PolarStar F2™. Wiring for direct connection to the FCU is included, so there is no need to additionally solder the module into the gun's electrical system. With this type of connection, the UV LEDs illuminate only during firing. The module operates at 7–17 V. The tracer unit is supplied as a fully assembled frame for the left and right sides of the hop-up unit. During installation, it replaces the original transparent covers on both sides of a compatible MAXX M4-Series unit. The original frame screws must be retained and used during installation because new screws are not included. The module was developed in cooperation with Perun Airsoft. Unlike the version designed for AEGs, this version is prepared for connection to the FCU of a PolarStar HPA system, eliminating the need to connect it to an ETU or solder the wiring to the motor spade connectors.

Illumination takes place inside the hop-up unit, so there is no need to use an external tracer suppressor to activate illuminated TRACER BBs.

UV module placement in the MAXX M4A unit

The UV module is installed on both sides of the hop-up unit in place of the original transparent covers.

ANAREUS tip: During installation, the UV module frame is positioned in place of the transparent covers on the left and right sides of the MAXX hop-up unit. Screws are not included, so retain the original screws when removing the original covers and use them to install the module.

Do I need a tracer suppressor with this UV module?

No. The module illuminates TRACER BBs directly inside the MAXX hop-up unit. Therefore, a separate tracer suppressor does not need to be installed on the muzzle for illumination.

Is this version designed for the PolarStar F2™ HPA system?

Yes. This version includes wiring prepared for connection to the FCU of PolarStar systems, such as the PolarStar F2™. This eliminates the need for additional soldering of the module wiring.

Do the UV LEDs inside the unit stay illuminated continuously?

No. When powered via the PolarStar FCU, the UV module activates only during firing and illuminates the passing TRACER BB at that moment.

Does the module fit all MAXX M4-Series hop-up units?

The module is designed for M4A, M4i, M4P, M4G, M4Gi and other compatible MAXX M4-Series models. It cannot be used with the MAXX M4W designed for MTW systems.
