GUARDER Polycarbonate Piston with One Metal Tooth

GUARDER polycarbonate piston with one metal tooth is an upgrade part for Tokyo Marui standard AEGs. The durable polycarbonate body is reinforced with a steel tooth in the most heavily stressed part of the tooth rack. The piston weighs only 14 g, so it does not unnecessarily increase the weight of the moving piston assembly. Suitable for M90–M110 springs with correctly adjusted AoE.

GUARDER Polycarbonate Piston With One Metal Tooth

This expert product description was prepared by the ANAREUS.cz expert team. All rights to this unique content are tied to the anareus.cz domain.GUARDER polycarbonate piston is designed for Tokyo Marui standard AEGs and combines a lightweight polycarbonate body with one steel tooth. The metal component is located in the heavily stressed part of the tooth rack, while the rest of the construction remains lightweight. The total piston weight is only 14 g. The low weight of the moving assembly is particularly important with regard to the dynamic loads generated during each gearbox operating cycle. The piston can be used as a replacement for the original part or as part of a compatible AEG upgrade. During installation, we always recommend checking that the piston moves freely in the guide rails, that the sector gear engages correctly and that the AOE between the first engaged piston tooth and the sector gear is properly set. Correct alignment of the teeth and the entire piston assembly has a major influence on mechanism reliability and piston tooth life. Recommended for M90 to M110 springs. For stronger springs, choose a piston with full metal teeth.

Key Features

Polycarbonate Body

The piston uses a lightweight polycarbonate construction that keeps the moving part of the air seal system lightweight.

One Steel Tooth

The tooth rack is reinforced with one steel tooth in the heavily stressed section of the piston, while the remaining teeth are part of the polymer body.

Low Weight of 14 g

The total weight of just 14 g helps keep the piston assembly lightweight and limits unnecessary increases in moving mass inside the gearbox.

Tokyo Marui Standard AEG

The design is intended for Tokyo Marui standard AEG gearboxes (excluding extended SR-25 and PSG-1 versions). With guns from other manufacturers, possible dimensional differences and manufacturing tolerances must be taken into account.

For Service and Upgrades

The piston can be used as a replacement for the original part or as part of an AEG upgrade, with correct movement and tooth engagement being important to verify during installation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why Does the Piston Have Only One Metal Tooth?

The design combines a lightweight polycarbonate body with a steel tooth in the heavily stressed part of the tooth rack. This keeps the overall piston weight low.

Which AEGs Is the Piston Designed For?

The piston is designed for Tokyo Marui series AEGs. Installation may be possible in similarly designed guns from other manufacturers, but due to different manufacturing tolerances, compatibility cannot be guaranteed without possible fitting.

What Should Be Checked When Installing the Piston?

During servicing, we recommend checking the free movement of the piston in the gearbox guide rails, sector gear engagement and correctly adjusted AOE. The piston must not bind inside the shell or have improper tooth engagement.

What Is the Significance of the 14 g Piston Weight?

With a weight of 14 g, the piston is one of the lighter components of the piston assembly. Lower moving mass can be beneficial when tuning an AEG, but the entire gearbox configuration, including the spring, gears, motor and piston head, must always be considered.
