In airsoft, this concept is particularly popular for CQB, fast-paced games and situations where low weight and easy handling are important. Specna Arms SA-FX02 belongs to the lightweight FLEX™ series. The gun body is made from fibre-reinforced nylon, which helps reduce the overall weight without the need for a heavy metal body. The outer barrel and selected stressed components are metal, while screws, pins and some small parts are made from steel. The main feature of this variant is the HAL ETU™ electronic processor unit. It uses magnetic sensors operating on the Hall effect principle to detect trigger position, allowing electronic adjustment of the gun's behaviour. It offers 5 levels of trigger sensitivity, 6 levels of piston pre-cocking, active brake, binary trigger and several programmable fire modes. The unit is also ready for use with Brushless motors. The SEMI position can be configured as standard Semi, Binary, AUG or Sniper with a delay. For the AUTO position, the available modes are Full Auto, Semi, 3-round burst or 5-round burst. Programming is performed using the trigger without the need to connect an external programmer. HAL ETU™ also features a low battery voltage alarm. Inside is a reinforced V2 gearbox with the ESA quick spring change system. The spring can be replaced without removing the gearbox from the gun body. Hop-up adjustment is accessible through the ejection port after pulling the charging handle. The magazine is released by a lower lever similar to those used on AK or EVO platforms. At the rear is a minimalist Light Ops stock with rubberised cheek rest surfaces and QD mounting sockets for quick-detach sling swivels. The battery is inserted directly into the buffer tube, so a slim Buffer Stick battery is required. The wiring is terminated with a T-Dean connector.
