View larger Specna Arms ceramic grease in a practical 50 g package is a service lubricant for highly stressed moving and mechanical parts of airsoft guns. It is particularly suitable for gearbox gears, the piston rack and heavily loaded sliding surfaces. Ceramic additives help reduce friction and protect components against wear.

For more than 25 years, we know what you like about airsoft.
Specna Arms ceramic grease is a service lubricant designed primarily for mechanically stressed moving parts of airsoft guns. Ceramic additives help create a durable lubricating layer between contact surfaces that reduces friction and limits mechanical wear. In an AEG gearbox, it is particularly suitable for gears, the steel piston rack and other heavily loaded sliding surfaces. It is especially useful where gears are exposed to higher mechanical loads, for example in more powerful M130+ upgrade builds or configurations with a high RoF. Ceramic grease provides a more durable alternative for demanding mechanical applications, while PTFE grease can be used for standard gear setups and silicone grease for O-rings, seals and air seal components. The basic servicing rule also applies here – apply only a thin layer of lubricant. Excess grease can increase mechanical resistance, attract dirt and be dispersed throughout the gearbox at high speeds. The hop-up bucking and inner barrel must always remain clean and dry.
| Property / application | Silicone grease | PTFE grease | Ceramic grease |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main application | Seals, O-rings and air seal components | Gears and mechanical sliding surfaces | Highly stressed gears and mechanical parts |
| Typical application | Piston O-ring, seals, GBB valves, HPA | Gears, piston rack, guide surfaces | High-load gears, powerful and high-speed builds |
| Load resistance | Low to medium | High | Very high |
| O-rings and seals | Yes – primary application | Only if the manufacturer confirms compatibility with the specific elastomer | Not intended as a primary seal lubricant |
| Gears | Generally not recommended | Yes | Yes – especially under high loads with M130+ springs |

Primarily for lubricating mechanically stressed moving parts, such as gearbox gears, the steel piston rack and suitable sliding surfaces. It is particularly useful in builds exposed to higher mechanical loads, for example with M130+ springs or a RoF above 20 BB/s.
PTFE grease is a versatile choice for standard gears and mechanical sliding surfaces. Ceramic grease is particularly suitable where mechanical components are exposed to higher loads and intensive operation.
For the piston O-ring and other sealing elements, we recommend a suitable silicone grease. Ceramic grease is primarily intended for mechanically stressed moving parts and gears.
