AirsoftParts TECAFORM 2013 NBU piston head is a CNC-machined component for AEG air seal systems, made from TECAFORM (POM) engineering plastic. The NBU version has enlarged dimensions corresponding to a Bore Up system with increased air volume and can therefore be combined only with an NBU cylinder. The piston head weighs just 8.9 g, and the manufacturer recommends it for springs up to M160. The front features 9 holes through which air flows beneath the main sealing O-ring during compression. The pressure expands it against the cylinder wall and promotes effective sealing. A second guide O-ring helps center the piston head inside the cylinder and reduces unwanted contact with the inner cylinder wall. A locking nut passes through the center of the piston head, distributing the clamping force over a larger area and reducing the risk of the mounting screw being pulled out of the POM body. The integrated axial ball bearing allows the spring to rotate more freely during compression and reduces torsional stress. The manufacturer states compatibility with V2, V3 and V7 gearboxes when used with the corresponding NBU air seal system. Made in the Czech Republic.
