Looking for a high-end upgrade for your AEG? Want to shoot up to 5× longer on the same battery than with standard brushed motors? Need both a speed and torque motor in one with an integrated anti-reverse system? Then the SA Dark Matter™ is your ideal brushless motor. It is a type of electric motor characterised by the absence of carbon brushes, which are common in traditional DC motors. It uses brushless technology, enabling smoother and more efficient operation. Thanks to its higher efficiency and output, brushless motors can improve the overall performance of the rifle, increase RoF and shorten the delay between trigger pull and shot. This results in higher accuracy and faster shooting.
The main advantage, however, is the much longer battery life — for example, with a brushless motor a 11.1V 1000 mAh battery lasts 5000+ shots, while with a basic brushed motor only about 1000 rounds. The downside is a higher purchase price, but it is easily offset by zero maintenance, no replacement parts and dramatically longer lifespan. The motor is housed in a durable aluminium body with an aluminium base, ensuring exceptional durability. Specna Arms also offers replacement bases (aluminium or nylon) should the connector break. Specna Arms rates all its brushless motors up to M190 springs, though we recommend choosing rpm according to your spring strength. The stronger the spring, the lower the rpm. This motor features a switch lever on the base allowing you to select rpm from torque 27000 rpm to high-speed 35000 rpm, making it suitable for both DMR builds and standard assault rifles. In addition, thanks to its built-in anti-reverse mechanism, there is no need to install an anti-reverse latch in the gearbox (though installing one does no harm).
