LCT AEG motor cage for V3 / AK is an original replacement motor holder for LCT AK airsoft rifles with a standard V3 gearbox. It ensures correct positioning of the short-type AEG motor in relation to the gearbox gears and allows its height to be adjusted. The cage is made from zinc alloy, weighs 69.6 g and is suitable for both repairs and gearbox assembly.

LCT AEG motor cage for V3 / AK gearbox
LCT AEG motor cage for V3 / AK is an original replacement part for standard V3 gearboxes used in AK-platform airsoft rifles. The cage attaches to the bottom of the gearbox and holds the short-type AEG motor in the correct position and angle relative to the gear train. Precise motor positioning is particularly important for correct engagement of the motor pinion gear with the bevel gear, which directly affects smooth operation, noise levels and gear wear. The part is suitable as a replacement for a damaged or worn original cage, as well as for building or assembling a separate V3 gearbox. The body is made from zinc alloy and weighs 69.6 g. This is the standard version designed for AK rifles.

What is the purpose of the motor cage in a V3 gearbox?
The cage holds the AEG motor in the correct position and angle relative to the gearbox. This allows the motor pinion gear to engage correctly with the bevel gear of the gear train.
What type of AEG motor is used with this cage?
A short-type motor is used with the standard V3 gearbox found in airsoft AK rifles. After installation, its height and pinion gear engagement must be correctly adjusted.
Is the PK-126 the same cage as the LCT PK-225 for AS VAL and VSS?
No. The PK-126 is the standard cage for V3 / AK gearboxes. LCT AS VAL, VSS Vintorez and SR-3M Vikhr use the specific PK-225 cage with different geometry designed for their slim pistol grips.
Does the motor need to be readjusted after replacing the cage?
Yes, we always recommend checking the correct motor height adjustment. Incorrect adjustment can cause increased noise, poor pinion gear engagement and unnecessary wear of the gears.
