How can I identify a WE Gen1 magazine?

A Gen1 magazine can be identified by its completely flat top rubber gasket and two metal pins on the sides securing the baseplate. The newer Gen2 version uses a curved top gasket for a better seal with the pistol nozzle. After removing the baseplate on a Gen2 magazine, you will also find a large central screw instead of side pins.

Will replacing the seals fix gas leaks?

In most cases, yes. Worn or damaged seals are the most common cause of gas leaks between magazine body sections.

Do the seals need lubrication?

Yes, we recommend applying a small amount of silicone oil during installation. This improves sealing performance and extends seal lifespan.
