ProTech Green Gas – medium-pressure gas for airsoft guns

ProTech Green Gas is a universal gas for most common gas-powered airsoft pistols, rifles and submachine guns. In terms of pressure, it belongs to the medium-pressure Green Gas category, making it suitable for standard operation of both GBB and GNB guns while providing a good balance between performance, reliable cycling and stress on internal components. The mixture also contains silicone oil, which helps lubricate and protect seals and moving parts of the gas system during use. The manufacturer specifies usability at temperatures down to approximately 5 °C, although it should be kept in mind that the performance of every Green Gas system gradually decreases as the temperature drops. The bottle uses a plastic filling nozzle, which is gentle on fill valve seals. However, the nozzle is shorter, so it may not reach the valve on magazines with deeply recessed fill valves.

Key features of ProTech Green Gas

Medium-pressure Green Gas

Balanced pressure makes it a universal choice for common gas-powered airsoft guns and everyday operation of GBB and GNB systems.

With silicone oil

The addition of silicone oil helps lubricate and protect seals and moving components of the gas system during use.

For GBB and GNB guns

Suitable for gas-powered pistols, rifles and submachine guns whose manufacturer permits the use of standard Green Gas.

Plastic filling nozzle

The plastic tip is gentle on fill valve seals. However, it is shorter and may therefore not reach deeply recessed valves on some magazines.

Caution with low-pressure Japanese guns

Not designed for models intended for low-pressure gases, particularly certain Japanese guns from Tokyo Marui, KSC, Maruzen, Marushin or Tanaka.

ProTech plastic filling nozzle

ProTech Green Gas plastic filling nozzle

The plastic nozzle is gentle on the fill valve seal. However, it is shorter, so it may not reach the valve on magazines with deeply recessed fill valves.

Warning

  • Medium-pressure Green Gas is not suitable for Japanese airsoft guns designed for low-pressure gases, including certain models from Tokyo Marui, KSC, Maruzen, Marushin or Tanaka. Particularly on designs with plastic slides, the higher pressure of Green Gas may cause excessive stress or damage to the gun that is not covered by the warranty.
  • Gas bottles cannot be refilled; once empty, they must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
  • Gas is under pressure.
  • Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight.
  • Gas is extremely flammable.
  • Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas and do not inhale the gas.

Frequently asked questions from our store

Why does Green Gas contain silicone oil?

The silicone additive helps keep the gas system seals lubricated and reduces drying out. However, it does not replace complete regular maintenance of the magazine and gun.

Will the plastic filling nozzle fit every magazine?

Not always. The plastic nozzle is gentle on fill valves, but it is shorter than some metal filling nozzles. If the valve is deeply recessed in the magazine base plate, the nozzle may not reach it properly.

How should Green Gas be stored safely?

The container is pressurised and contains extremely flammable gas. Protect it from high temperatures, direct sunlight and ignition sources. Use the gas outdoors or in well-ventilated areas and do not inhale it. Do not refill the empty disposable container and dispose of it in accordance with local regulations for pressurised containers and hazardous waste.
