EARMOR M31 PLUS are modern active hearing protectors designed for shooting, airsoft, and work in noisy environments. Dual directional microphones amplify everyday sounds such as speech, footsteps, and commands, while automatically reducing dangerous impulse noise (gunshots, explosions) to a safe level of 82 dB. Unlike the M32H headset, this model is hearing protection only and does not include a communication microphone. External audio sources can be connected via the 3.5 mm AUX input (phone, radio via an adapter, etc.). The low-profile ear cups do not interfere with aiming, while the gel ear cushions provide excellent comfort during extended use. The PLUS (2024) version features improved electronics, increased durability, and enhanced ergonomics compared to the previous generation. Thanks to the rugged IPX-5 construction, the hearing protectors can withstand demanding outdoor and industrial environments. They are powered by 2× 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). This is the H (Helmet) version, so instead of a standard headband, the package includes a pair of mounting adapters for tactical helmets with ARC rails, including FAST, MICH, and CP AirFrame helmets and their airsoft replicas.

Can I communicate over a radio with these hearing protectors?

No. The M31H PLUS has neither a microphone nor a PTT connector. If you need communication capabilities, choose the M32 PLUS (or M32H / M32X). The M31 series is designed purely for hearing protection and ambient sound amplification.

How much do they help during airsoft or at the shooting range?

You'll notice the difference immediately. Without them, loud gunshots dominate everything. With the M31H PLUS, you can clearly hear footsteps, conversations, and movement around you. It's a huge advantage, especially in CQB.

Are the gel ear cushions worth it compared to standard ones?

Absolutely. They provide a better seal around safety glasses, reduce pressure on your ears, and stay cooler during prolonged use. If you wear hearing protection for more than an hour, the difference is very noticeable.

What battery life can I realistically expect?

In real-world use, one set of batteries easily lasts through several events. The automatic shut-off after four hours also helps prevent unnecessary battery drain if you forget to switch them off.
