Thanks to its capacity of 300 BBs, it provides a significantly larger ammunition supply than a conventional spring-loaded Mid-Cap magazine, making it particularly suitable for longer periods of gameplay, suppressive fire or players who do not want to reload as frequently. BBs are poured through the top loading opening and the internal feeding mechanism must then be tensioned using the wheel on the bottom of the magazine. This is the fundamental difference between a Hi-Cap magazine and spring-loaded Mid-Cap magazines: the BBs are not held under constant pressure from a long spring in a single feeding channel, but instead sit freely in a storage compartment and are fed into the feeding channel by a winding mechanism.
