PowAir CARBON Series 68ci / 1.1 l HPA Tank

PowAir CARBON Series 68ci is a lightweight and extremely durable HPA tank designed for airsoft HPA systems. The construction uses carbon fiber composite, providing high strength while maintaining low weight. The tank is equipped with a high quality Dye LT HP regulator with a pressure gauge and safety burst discs for safe operation under high pressure. The 1.1 l (68ci) capacity provides enough air for approximately 700 shots, while more efficient HPA systems can achieve a significantly higher shot count. The regulator output pressure of around 850 PSI matches the standard for most airsoft HPA setups. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, the tank can be comfortably carried in pouches or backpacks during all day games. The construction carries PI certification and requires a pressure test every 5 years. For full system functionality, you still need to purchase an HPA gun, HPA regulator and HPA hose. For more information about the advantages and disadvantages of HPA systems and what to watch out for, read our article How to Build an HPA Setup. Notice Before First Filling

  • The bottle and regulator are supplied either separately or only loosely screwed together without thread locking. Before use, the regulator thread must be secured with a suitable thread-locking adhesive and allowed to cure for 24–48 hours. Only then can the bottle be safely filled.
  • For this reason, it is not possible to fill a newly purchased bottle immediately at our store.
  • Due to shipping regulations, all HPA and CO₂ systems are delivered empty.
  • For safe operation, the bottle must undergo a hydrostatic pressure test every 5 years.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need another regulator between the HPA bottle and my airsoft gun?

Yes. The Dye LT HP regulator installed on the bottle reduces the pressure to approximately 850 PSI, which is still far too high for a standard airsoft HPA system. A separate HPA regulator must therefore be connected to the bottle regulator to further reduce the pressure to the working pressure required by your specific HPA engine. You will also need an HPA line to connect the regulator to your airsoft gun.

What is the difference between a 300-bar carbon fiber bottle and a standard aluminum HPA bottle?

The main advantage is its significantly lower weight while supporting a much higher maximum fill pressure of up to 300 bar / 4500 PSI. Standard aluminum HPA bottles are generally heavier and typically rated for a maximum pressure of 200 bar / 3000 PSI. With the right capacity, a carbon fiber bottle provides a larger supply of compressed air at a lower weight, making a noticeable difference during long game days when carried in a backpack or pouch.

Can I fill my new bottle immediately after unpacking it?

No, if the bottle regulator is supplied separately or only loosely threaded onto the bottle. Before the first fill, the regulator must be properly installed, the threads secured with a suitable thread-locking adhesive, and the assembly left to cure for 24–48 hours. Only then can the system be safely pressurized. For this reason, a newly purchased bottle cannot be filled immediately after purchase.
