The rifle operates using a manual spring-powered bolt-action system, requiring the bolt to be cycled after every shot for maximum realism. Internally, it features a steel cylinder, cylinder head, and spring guide, an aluminum piston, and an adjustable hop-up for fine-tuning BB trajectory. The bolt is also equipped with a manual safety to prevent accidental discharge. The receiver is prepared for scope mounting, making it compatible with optics such as the historic ZF39 riflescope. No. The internal air system is VSR-compatible, but the hop-up chamber, trigger mechanism, and piston sear are different. Dedicated upgrade parts for the Snow Wolf / S&T Kar98 are also becoming available.

How difficult is it to cock?

With the factory spring, cocking is smooth and easy. Stronger upgrade springs naturally require more effort but remain comfortable to operate.
