Colt x Daniel Defense® MK18 10.5" Gen2 (SA-E19 EDGE™) by Specna Arms combines the classic look of the legendary M4A1 with modern EDGE™ Gen.2 internals. The full-metal receiver with durable Nano Coating finish features licensed COLT and M4A1 markings as well as the Rampant Colt logo. The front MK18 RIS handguard features licensed Daniel Defense® markings and allows you to mount foregrips, weapon lights, laser modules and other accessories. The upper RIS rail on the receiver is designed for mounting a red dot sight or rifle scope. At the heart of the rifle is a reinforced Æther™ V2 gearbox with 8 mm bearings, steel gears, a piston with full-metal teeth and a high-quality air seal system. The HAL² ETU™ electronic unit uses the Hall effect for extremely precise trigger detection across up to 500 positions and, via Bluetooth, allows configuration through the Specna Link™ mobile app. Players can adjust trigger sensitivity, pre-cocking, SEMI, BINARY, BURST and AUTO modes, burst length or RoF and monitor the status of both the rifle and battery. Accuracy is supported by the rotary TDC Magnus hop-up chamber, Helium™ Flat Hop bucking and precision 6.03 mm inner barrel. The ESA™ system also allows quick replacement of the main spring without disassembling the gearbox. The result is a modern AEG that retains the authentic appearance of a service-style M4A1 with an MK18 handguard while offering the advanced features of today's electronically controlled airsoft rifles.

Recommendations and warnings

• HAL² ETU™ is not compatible with brushless / BLDC motors. Therefore, do not install a brushless motor in the rifle. Its use with this electronic unit is not supported by the manufacturer and may cause the system to malfunction.
• Battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately.
• Whenever changing the spring, always verify the resulting muzzle energy with a chronograph and comply with the limits of the specific field or event.
• When not in use, do not leave the battery connected to the rifle.
• Before first use, the HAL² ETU™ unit must be calibrated.

Important instructions before using the rifle

To fire the rifle, you must activate the HAL² ETU™ unit and follow this procedure exactly; otherwise, the rifle will not respond to the connected battery:

1. Set the fire selector to Safe.
2. Connect the battery and wait 3 seconds until you hear a beep.
3. Press and hold the trigger for 5 seconds until you hear another beep.
4. The rifle is now ready for use.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can a brushless motor be installed in the rifle?

No. HAL² ETU™ does not support brushless / BLDC motors. If you plan to replace the motor, use a compatible conventional brushed AEG motor.

What can be configured through the Specna Link™ app?

Via Bluetooth, you can configure settings such as trigger sensitivity, pre-cocking, RoF, firing modes and burst length. The app also allows you to save profiles, monitor battery status and view operational and telemetry data from the rifle.
