Specna Arms DD MK18 CORE™ Gen2 relies on a lightweight yet durable fibreglass-reinforced nylon receiver from the CORE™ series, which has a realistic matte finish while being capable of withstanding rougher handling, as it is stronger than inexpensive cast metal receivers. The metal outer barrel with a 14mm CCW thread and steel components such as screws, pins and the ejection port cover provide strength where it is needed most. The result is an extremely lightweight yet sturdy AEG assault rifle with excellent handling and original licensed Daniel Defense® markings. The controls of the AR15 (M4) platform are intuitive and easy to get used to. It also features an ambidextrous charging handle, a clear fire selector and easy access to the hop-up adjustment through the ejection port. The RIII M-LOK handguard allows you to mount accessories such as a foregrip, tactical flashlight or laser PEQ box. The spacious Crane Stock with QD sling swivel mounting points provides stable support for accurate aimed fire. The battery is installed in the buffer tube, so you can use a buffer stick battery or larger Nunchuk and Crane batteries housed inside the stock. Overall, this is a powerful rifle combining low weight, a proven design and excellent Gen2 internals in one affordable package. How to activate the rifle before use

Before you can fire the rifle, you must activate the HAL ETU unit by following the procedure below exactly. Otherwise, the rifle will not respond to the connected battery:

1. Set the fire selector to Safe.
2. Connect the battery and wait for 3 seconds until you hear a beep.
3. Pull and hold the trigger for 5 seconds until you hear another beep.
4. The rifle is now ready to use.

Important information

• The battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately.
• Before first use, the HAL ETU™ unit must be calibrated (see above).
• Springs from some manufacturers are significantly overrated (for example, an M130 spring may correspond to the performance of an M140-150), which could exceed the declared durability limits of the gearbox. We recommend using the included Specna Arms springs only. When using springs from other manufacturers, we recommend choosing springs rated around M120 to reduce the risk of damage caused by a spring that does not correspond to its stated rating.
• When replacing a spring with progressive (non-uniform) winding, make sure that the end with the more tightly spaced coils is positioned on the spring guide, facing outwards from the gearbox.
• Never store the rifle with the battery connected.
• Never store the rifle with pre-cocking enabled. Before storage, always release the piston to its forward position to prevent unnecessary long-term compression and wear of the spring.

What BB weight is ideal for this rifle?

Thanks to the 6.03 mm precision inner barrel and TDC hop-up unit with Flat-Hop bucking, the rifle can handle heavier BBs very well. For optimal accuracy, range and consistent grouping, we recommend high-quality 0.28 g BBs. The ideal weight may vary depending on the rifle's current power output and the spring being used.

What should I do with the rifle before storing it after an airsoft game?

Always disconnect the battery after the game, as the processor unit electronics may draw a small amount of power even in standby mode. If you use the pre-cocking function, release the piston to its forward position before storing the rifle. This prevents the spring from remaining compressed for extended periods and reduces unnecessary stress on the internal components.
