Specna Arms SVD Dragunov RETRO Bolt-Action Sniper

This professional product description was prepared by the expert team at ANAREUS.cz. All rights to this unique content are reserved by anareus.cz.The legendary SVD Dragunov sniper rifle from the Specna Arms RETRO series was developed in cooperation with S&T / AGM and faithfully recreates the iconic Soviet rifle of the 1960s. The construction combines a metal receiver (barrel, receiver, gas tube, and magazine) with polymer furniture, reproducing the appearance of later SVD Dragunov variants. The rifle operates using a manual spring-powered bolt-action system, requiring the bolt to be cycled after every shot for maximum realism. Internally, it features a steel cylinder and spring guide, an aluminum piston, and an adjustable hop-up for fine-tuning BB trajectory. The left side of the receiver includes a dovetail side rail compatible with PSO-1 optics and side-mounted RIS adapters. A cheek rest with a soft pad is also included for improved shooting comfort. The rifle is ideal for Cold War MilSim, reenactment, recreational shooting, and precision target practice. It uses standard AEG springs, making power upgrades straightforward, while many internal parts are compatible with A&K SVD upgrade parts, although some components may require minor fitting.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I install the AirsoftPro CO₂ conversion kit?

The Specna Arms SVD is based on the AGM SVD, which uses a slightly different piston sear than the A&K version. Because of this, the CO₂ piston may not always engage reliably, potentially causing accidental discharge. The kit physically fits the rifle but requires tuning and minor modifications. The Gen3 version is reported to fit, although we have not yet verified this ourselves.

Which optic can I use?

A PSO-1 scope with a side AK/SVD dovetail mount is the classic choice. Alternatively, you can install one of the side RIS mounts available in our store and use virtually any modern riflescope.

Does it need upgrading right away?

For casual play, we recommend upgrading to an AEG M130–M140 spring depending on your preferred cocking force. For maximum accuracy, players commonly install an upgraded hop-up bucking and a CNC hop-up chamber, such as the AirsoftPro version. If using an M140 spring or stronger, replacing the piston sear with a CNC ACM / KOER version is recommended, although minor fitting may be required.

How hard is it to cock?

With the factory M110 spring, cocking is very easy. Upgrading to stronger springs naturally increases the effort required, but most players adapt quickly.
