The M55 PTT module is the foundation of any functional tactical headset and radio setup. Simply connect it between your radio and a headset equipped with a Nexus TP-120 connector, and you'll have instant one-button communication. The large pressure-sensitive PTT button offers a positive tactile feel and is easy to operate even while wearing gloves, making it ideal for movement and high-stress situations. The housing is made from durable polymer, providing excellent durability without adding unnecessary weight to your gear. On the back, you'll find a compact metal clip with a lanyard loop, allowing secure attachment to MOLLE webbing, belts, or shoulder straps, keeping it always within easy reach. The M55 is primarily designed for EARMOR headsets. It may also work with other TP-120-equipped headsets, although compatibility cannot be guaranteed. It is not compatible with Z-Tactical, TAC-SKY, or Element products.

Will it work with a Baofeng UV-5R?

Yes. The Kenwood 2-pin connector is designed specifically for radios like the UV-5R. It is also compatible with most clones and similar models from Wouxun and Retevis.

Will it work with headsets from other brands?

If they use a genuine Nexus TP-120 (NATO standard) connector, there's a good chance they will. However, lower-cost brands such as Z-Tac or Element often use different wiring, so compatibility may be limited or unavailable.

Which is better, the M55 or the M51?

It depends on your preference. The M51 features a traditional side-mounted button and a 3.5 mm port for a finger PTT switch. The M55 uses a large pressure-sensitive button covering the entire outer side, making it quicker and easier to locate.

Where should I mount the PTT on my gear?

Ideally, mount it on your vest's shoulder strap where you can reach it without looking. A common mistake is placing it too low or too far to the side, which slows communication during action. The PTT should be mounted on the opposite side from your shooting shoulder—for example, if you shoulder your rifle on the right, mount the PTT on the left.
