By keeping the nozzle in the rear position for longer, it can help improve BB feeding at high rates of fire or when using slower-feeding magazines. The chip is made of metal and is compatible with AEG Version 2 and Version 3 gearboxes.

The delayer chip is installed onto the sector gear between the axle and pin without the need for gluing or screwing. As the sector gear rotates, it extends the time during which the tappet plate remains in the rear position, keeping the hop-up chamber open for longer. This gives BBs more time to feed into the chamber, helping to solve feeding issues in high-rate-of-fire builds or when using magazines with slower feeding performance. For proper installation, the metal ring on the sector gear axle must be removed. If the ring is permanently fixed to the axle, the delayer chip cannot be installed.
