EPeS Functional Suppressor 40 × 230 mm (Flat End Cap) – Black

EPeS 40 × 230 mm airsoft suppressor by EPeS with a flat end cap features improved Mk.IV sound-dampening chambers for genuine reduction of shot noise. Thanks to its low weight, it does not unnecessarily burden the gun. The standard 14 mm CCW left-hand thread is suitable for most airsoft guns. The highest sound suppression is achieved with HPA, GBB and spring guns, it is also suitable for AEGs

EPeS suppressor with functional Mk.IV filling for reducing shot noise

EPeS suppressor is not merely a cosmetic accessory, but a functional upgrade that uses an innovative internal system of EPeS Mk.IV baffles and chambers, which is many times more effective than conventional foam filling and is even more effective than the previous Mk.III version. While ordinary suppressors often merely reduce the space in which sound can resonate, this model actually reduces shot noise. The highest suppression efficiency is achieved in combination with HPA and GBB guns or manual sniper rifles. With AEG guns, it is essential to reduce the noise of the shot itself inside the gearbox, i.e. dampen piston impact using a SorboPad on the cylinder head, correctly shim the gears, adjust motor height and reduce piston stress through AOE correction. The suppressor is all-metal and extremely durable, featuring a standard 14 mm CCW left-hand thread for most airsoft guns. Precise alignment of the inner barrel with the suppressor is essential for the entire assembly to function correctly, so we do not recommend using a rubber O-ring as a thread spacer on the outer barrel, as it could cause the suppressor to become misaligned.

Frequently asked questions from our store

On which type of airsoft gun will the suppressor be most effective?

The greatest difference is generally noticeable with HPA, gas-powered guns and manual sniper rifles, where a significant portion of the sound is produced by the air or gas leaving the barrel. On a well-tuned HPA or manual sniper rifle, the change in sound signature can therefore be very noticeable.

Does the EPeS Mk.IV suppressor also work on AEGs?

Yes, the suppressor reduces the sound of air leaving the barrel, but it does not eliminate the mechanical noise of the gearbox. With an AEG, a significant portion of the overall sound is produced by the motor, gears and, above all, piston impact. For a truly quiet AEG build, it is therefore advisable to combine a functional suppressor with correct gear shimming, motor height adjustment, AOE correction and suitable piston impact dampening.

Why is it important to check inner barrel alignment before using the suppressor?

The BB must pass through the centre of the entire suppressor without contacting any of its internal components. If the inner barrel, outer barrel or thread is misaligned, the BB may strike the sound-dampening inserts, reducing accuracy and potentially damaging them. Even slight misalignment becomes more significant with longer suppressors, so we recommend always checking that the BB has a clear path before firing.

Why do we not recommend placing a rubber O-ring under the suppressor?

A rubber O-ring between the suppressor and the thread shoulder is flexible and may cause the long suppressor body to become slightly misaligned with the axis of the inner barrel. Correct concentric alignment is essential for a functional suppressor with internal baffles. We therefore recommend threading the suppressor directly onto a correctly manufactured and aligned thread without a flexible rubber spacer.
