The RetroArms CNC A1 piston head is a robust aluminium piston head designed for upgrading the compression system of AEG airsoft guns, including high-performance builds with springs up to M210. The precision CNC-machined design uses 6 pressure ports that allow air to act on the sealing O-ring during piston movement, helping press it correctly against the cylinder wall. The construction also includes a centering ring that helps reduce friction between the piston head and cylinder, as well as wear on the cylinder and the edge of the piston head itself. The integrated axial ball bearing allows the spring to work more freely during compression and reduces unwanted twisting. When building a more powerful gearbox, it is also important to correctly adjust AOE (Angle of Engagement) and check the interaction of the entire piston assembly. The manufacturer recommends lubricating the sealing components and axial bearing with PTFE grease, while the 6 pressure ports must remain unobstructed for proper operation.
