RetroArms CNC Piston with Steel Rack – 19 Teeth (SR-25 / PSG-1) is a durable upgrade for high-performance AEG builds where the piston and its teeth are exposed to high mechanical loads. It combines a low-friction POM body with a precisely CNC-machined steel rack with 19 teeth. The result is a design focused on reliability and long service life under...

RetroArms CNC SR-25 POM tappet plate is designed for V2.5 gearboxes used in airsoft replicas such as AR10 / SR-25, PSG-1 and other compatible platforms. It is made by CNC milling from Ertacetal-C (POM), which combines durability and flexibility. The precisely machined front section helps ensure correct nozzle guidance and makes nozzle adjustment easier.

RetroArms CNC aluminium A1 piston head is a durable upgrade for AEG compression systems, designed for builds with springs up to M210. It features 6 pressure ports for proper O-ring operation, a centering ring to reduce friction and an axial ball bearing that helps prevent spring twisting.
RetroArms Type E CNC stainless steel cylinder is suitable for setups with an inner barrel length of approximately 470–650 mm. Selecting the correct cylinder type helps match the air volume to the barrel length, which is why RetroArms offers Types A to E for different barrel-length ranges. The cylinder is precision CNC-turned from 1.4541 stainless steel. Subsequent thermochemical treatment creates a surface with a hardness of 630 HBA and a black finish that also provides protection against corrosion. For correct movement of the piston head inside the cylinder, we recommend lubricating the cylinder with silicone oil rather than grease, as an excessively viscous lubricant can increase resistance and slow down piston-head movement during firing.
The correct ratio between cylinder volume and inner barrel length is an important part of a properly assembled AEG. RetroArms therefore offers several cylinder types with different port positions and usable volumes. When choosing a cylinder, primarily consider the length of the inner barrel. The extended Type E is a separate version designed for the corresponding SR-25 / PSG-1 gearbox configuration.
| RetroArms cylinder type | Recommended inner barrel length | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Type A | 130–239 mm | Standard AEG gearbox |
| Type B | 240–289 mm | Standard AEG gearbox |
| Type C | 290–369 mm | Standard AEG gearbox |
| Type D | 370–650 mm | Standard AEG gearbox |
| Type E | 470–650 mm | Extended cylinder (+10 mm) for SR-25 / PSG-1 gearbox |
Warning: The listed ranges represent the recommended barrel lengths for the individual RetroArms cylinder types. Type E cannot be substituted for a standard Type D cylinder based solely on barrel length – it is structurally extended by 10 mm and requires a corresponding SR-25 / PSG-1 gearbox.
The individual versions primarily differ in volume and the recommended inner barrel length range. Type A corresponds to 130–239 mm, Type B to 240–289 mm, Type C to 290–369 mm and Type D to 370–650 mm. Type E is extended by 10 mm and is designed for the corresponding SR-25 / PSG-1 gearbox configuration and barrels in the 470–650 mm range.
We recommend lubricating it with oil. Grease can create greater resistance and therefore slow down piston-head movement during firing.
No. According to the manufacturer, these cylinders are designed exclusively for TM-standard AEG airsoft guns. Before installation, it is also necessary to select the version corresponding to the specific setup and inner barrel length.
