Can the targets withstand powerful HPA or AEG guns at close range (e.g. 140 m/s)?

The 2 mm steel target plate is highly durable and easily withstands BB impacts, including those around 140 m/s (approximately 2 J), without deformation. However, the lower polycarbonate cover protecting the electronics is the limiting component. Prolonged close-range use with high-powered replicas may eventually cause wear or cracking. For intensive CQB training, we recommend shielding the lower section with an additional steel plate or another rigid barrier.

Does hit detection work reliably with heavy BBs (0.36–0.48 g) or high rates of fire (30+ BB/s)?

Yes. Heavier BBs transfer more kinetic energy, making hit detection even more reliable. Extremely high rates of fire (30+ BB/s), however, may cause vibrations in the steel plate that temporarily overlap, resulting in several hits being registered as one. The system performs best in semi-automatic fire or during rapid double-tap drills.

What is the expected service life, and can the targets be repaired?

Under intensive use, such as in CQB arenas or Air IPSC ranges, the sensors typically last between 100,000 and 150,000 impacts. After that, sensitivity may gradually decrease. Thanks to the modular design, the electronics can be easily disassembled, allowing the sensor or control board to be replaced individually within minutes.

Can the targets be used outdoors permanently?

No. Although the steel construction can withstand occasional rain, the electronics are not fully waterproof. Moisture or condensation may damage the internal components. Always store the targets in a dry environment after use. Battery life is also significantly reduced in freezing temperatures.
