Original Pakistani Patu (or Patoo) is traditionally made from heavy sheep wool that warms in cold mountains and protects against sun and dust. In Pashto (language of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan), "patu" literally means blanket or shawl. However, it is not just a piece of clothing, in local culture it is a symbol of identity and survival in harsh mountain conditions. Our Patu is a lightweight cotton version that is more breathable and comfortable for year-round wear, while still maintaining the original look and embroidered patterns. Essentially, it is a shawl / narrow blanket measuring 240 × 125 cm, which keeps you warm on cold evenings, protects from summer sun and dust, and also serves as part of a costume for LARP or MilSim airsoft events. In Pakistan, men commonly wear it together with a traditional Pakul and use it to protect themselves from changing mountain weather. In airsoft, you can use it as a native costume for roles of mountaineers, insurgents or civilians at events such as OP Lizzard, El Protector or Kandahar by Airsoftwars. At our ANAREUS store, we tested that thanks to its size, the shawl can discreetly cover even a smaller rifle and a chest rig with magazines.
Each piece is original and may differ in pattern and shade of colour.
