The Long Branch Sten MK.2 GBBR with a skeleton stock from Northeast is a gas-operated airsoft submachine gun with blowback, providing a realistic imitation of recoil, kicking properly!

History of the Sten Submachine Gun:

The submachine gun known as STEN or Sten Gun is of British origin, designed in 1940. It served in the ranks of Allied armies during World War II and in the post-war period. The designers of this submachine gun were Harold John Turpin and Major Reginald Vernon Shepherd.
The name "Sten" originated from the combination of their names, Shepherd and Harold Turpin, with the addition of "EN" indicating the Enfield factory where these submachine guns were manufactured.
The STEN Mk II version was the most widespread and existed in two variants of the shoulder rest. The first variant had a frame made of metal profile (Skeleton stock), while the second was equipped with a tube and welded pad (T stock). The bolt mechanism and trigger remained the same, but the wooden foregrip was removed. The barrel with a short cylindrical jacket was screwed onto the bolt housing, allowing easy separation.
This version also allowed the attachment of a bayonet to the barrel jacket. The STEN Mk II played a crucial role in the successful attempt to assassinate Heydrich, during which it infamously jammed. The STEN Mk II S version had a permanently attached sound suppressor on the barrel.

From 1941, a Canadian version of the STEN Gun was produced at the Long Branch Arsenal in Long Branch, Ontario. It was the same as the British Mk 2 version. Both had interchangeable parts, but the Canadian version had higher manufacturing quality, smoother edges, and was more durable.
You can recognize this version primarily by the type of welding. Long Branch uses spot welding, while other models used arc welding.

Airsoft Sten:

In terms of technical parameters, the airsoft Sten MK.2 GBBR boasts several interesting features. Its 32-round magazine capacity ensures an ample supply of ammunition.
The overall length of the submachine gun is 760 mm, with a barrel length of 175 mm, providing flexibility in various tactical situations.
The weight of 3220 g gives the submachine gun sufficient stability and fidelity to its prototype. The system, which includes Open Bolt Gas Blowback, Semi/Full Auto modes, and a TM standard hop-up rubber, offers a wide range of customization options according to the user's needs.

The Northeast Long Branch Sten MK.2 GBBR will bring to its future owners:

  • Real and durable surface finish:
Traditional and proven surface treatment with parkerization adds durability and aesthetics to the submachine gun. Surface treatment with manganese phosphate. Steel construction (except for the bolt block, which is aluminum).

  • Bolt handle MK.5:
Bolt handle MK.5 is designed to provide secure locking of the bolt. It is used in situations where the bolt is in the forward position and allows its fixation with the receiver tube, eliminating the risk of unintended firing in case of a fall.
  • Mk.2 T stock:
  • Mk.2 T stock represents a more durable variant. Its iconic appearance, often seen in historical photographs from wars, gives the submachine gun a distinctive look.
  • Authentic engraving:
Authentic engraving BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) stamped on the magazine housing is not just a decoration but also confirmation of the origin from a reputable manufacturer, enhancing the credibility of the submachine gun.

List of improvements to Northeast GBBR submachine guns for models from 2024, including this one:
