The PLATA variant is based on the proven mechanism of the original LevAR but uses a more compact configuration. Compared with the standard 15" LevAR, which is approximately 1020 mm long, the PLATA measures 930 mm, weighs approximately 3040 g and uses a shorter 320 mm inner barrel. A characteristic feature of this variant is the combination of a black base with silver accents. Power is provided by Green Gas and the rifle operates as a GNB (Gas Non-Blowback). The gas therefore provides the energy to fire the BB, while cycling is performed mechanically by the shooter using the lever. The absence of an automatically driven blowback bolt also means that the mechanism does not consume part of the gas to cycle it. The gas reservoir is integrated directly into the gun's grip. Compatible Mid-Cap, Hi-Cap and, depending on their design, high-capacity drum magazines can be used. The standard package includes a short LevAR magazine with a capacity of 32 BBs. Modularity continues inside and across the upper section of the rifle. The LevAR uses an AEG hop-up bucking and inner barrel. The platform is also designed to accept upper receivers from G&G AR15 guns, significantly expanding the possibilities for future modifications and custom builds. The adjustable hop-up allows the BB trajectory to be fine-tuned according to the BB weight used.
The PLATA is equipped with a shorter 10" M-LOK handguard, which retains the modern modular character of the original LevAR while contributing to the rifle's more compact dimensions. M-LOK slots allow the installation of an M-LOK grip, flashlight, laser module or other compatible accessories. The upper RIS rail provides space for a red dot sight or rifle scope, while the muzzle features a standard 14 mm CCW thread for a suppressor or tracer unit.

What is the difference between the LevAR PLATA and the standard 15" LevAR?

The PLATA is shorter, lighter and has a different appearance. Instead of a 15" handguard, it uses a more compact 10" M-LOK handguard, the overall length has been reduced from approximately 1020 to 930 mm, the inner barrel is 320 mm long and the weight is approximately 3040 g. The PLATA also combines a black finish with silver accents. The lever-action principle, gas system and M4 magazine compatibility remain the same.

What is the difference between the LevAR PLATA and ORO?

Both variants are based on the same compact LevAR concept. The main difference is the colour scheme – PLATA uses silver accents, while ORO uses gold accents.

Which magazines can be used in the LevAR PLATA?

The rifle uses standard M4 / AR15 AEG magazines. This is one of the greatest advantages of the LevAR design, as the gas is not stored in the magazine, allowing compatible conventional AEG magazines to be used. A short magazine with a capacity of 32 BBs is included.

Is the G&G LevAR PLATA self-loading?
