The RetroArms CNC gearbox is designed for the specific Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock (NGRS) system and provides a durable base for servicing and building higher-performance setups. Compared with the previous version, the construction has been redesigned in several critical areas. The area around the pistol grip and rear section of the cylinder has been reinforced, the cylinder opening has been enlarged and its support redesigned to use four contact points, improving compatibility with cylinders from different manufacturers. The revised piston guide geometry reduces unwanted contact with the gearbox shell, while more precise openings for 8 mm bearings make correct installation easier. Cable routing has also received significant changes: the openings are larger, a guide groove has been added around the motor axis, and structural edges that could previously interfere with cable routing have been removed. The enlarged front cable opening also accommodates the design of the TM NGRS HK416C. The area related to bolt movement has also been modified. According to the supplied specifications, the gearbox is designed for the TM NGRS M4, HK416D, HK416C and HK417; due to differences between individual NGRS models and their internal components, we recommend verifying the compatibility of the complete setup before assembly.
