The TK22 Ultimate Edition ups the game providing excellent tactical performance in a compact form and includes a Fenix 21700 500 mAh USB rechargeable battery (ARB-L21-5000U) as standard. This Ultimate Edition incorporates a rugged stainless steel bezel with three tungsten steel glass breaker tips inlaid that have a hardness rating of HRA 90 on the Rockwell Scale. Other features of this model also include a strobe that alternates frequency to provide an disorienting effect and the torch can also withstand use in extreme cold or heat from -35°C to 45°C. Utilising a Luminus SST-40 LED it offers a maximum output of 1600 lumens on turbo and throws the beam up to 405 metres distance, providing an excellent combination of output and distance. The TK22 UE is powered using the included Fenix 21700 5000 mAh USB rechargeable lithium-ion battery for best run-times due to the larger capacity, and is charged outside of the torch via the Type C charging port on the battery itself using the included Type C charging cable for fast charging. Alternatively you can use an 18650 lithium-ion battery (not included), however the 18650 battery must be inserted in the included ALF-18 battery holder before inserting it into the torch. Four brightness levels, plus strobe mode are available and operated with the tactical tail switch and side functional switch. The TK22 UE is turned on and off with the tactical tail switch by fully pressing it down, and it also offers a momentary function by half pressing the button (the light will turn off when the button is released). Once the torch is on, the side switch will cycle through turbo, low, mid, high with each press. Strobe is activated by holding the side switch for 0.8 seconds when the torch is turned on and will alternate between 6 Hz and 15 Hz every 2 seconds, which is more effective at disorienting if using the strobe as a defence. A single press will return the torch to the previous brightness setting. The last used brightness setting (excluding strobe) will be remembered next time the light is turned on. The overheat protection will automatically reduce the output when used in turbo for 15 minutes in order to protect the LED from overheating. Once the torch has cooled the turbo output can be re-selected. If the battery voltage drops below 3 V the torch is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until low output is reached, at which point the light will flash to remind you to charge the battery. The pocket clip allows easy attachment to a pocket, clothing or backpack and the included holster and lanyard make carrying it easy. Other accessories are available to purchases separately such as the ALG-00/ALG-01 gun mount, AOD-M diffuser, AOT-L traffic wand, AOF-L filters and AB02 belt clip.
