EARMOR M32 PLUS (2024) is an upgraded active hearing protection headset designed to provide safe hearing protection at the shooting range, excellent environmental awareness, and reliable team communication. Two directional microphones with Dynamic Voice Tracking capture surrounding sounds and reproduce them inside the ear cups, allowing you to clearly hear footsteps, voices, and movement while automatically reducing loud impulse noises such as gunshots or explosions to a safe level of 82 dB. The PLUS version features new gel ear cushions that significantly improve comfort during extended wear while providing a better seal around the ears. The headset uses a traditional headband for users who do not wear a helmet. Team communication is handled by the fixed boom microphone on the left ear cup and a cable terminated with a NATO Military Standard 7.0 (Nexus TP-120) connector for use with a compatible PTT module. The low-profile ear cups do not interfere with aiming, while the rugged IPX-5 construction is built to withstand demanding outdoor conditions. The headset is powered by 2× 1.5V AAA batteries (not included).

Can I communicate over a radio with this headset?

Yes. The M32 PLUS features both a boom microphone and a PTT connector. The M31 model, on the other hand, is designed solely for hearing protection and ambient sound amplification.

How much of a difference does it make for airsoft or shooting?

You'll notice the difference immediately. Without hearing protection you mostly hear the gunshot itself, while with the M32 PLUS you'll also hear footsteps, conversations, and surrounding movement. It's a huge advantage, especially in CQB.

Are the gel ear cushions worth it compared to standard ones?

Absolutely. They provide a better seal around shooting glasses, create less pressure on your head, and keep your ears cooler. If you wear the headset for more than an hour, the difference is very noticeable.

Which PTT connector does it actually use? Nexus TP-120 or NATO 7.0?

Both names refer to the same connector. In the airsoft community it's commonly called Nexus TP-120 or U-194/U, while officially it is the NATO Military Standard 7.0 connector used by NATO forces.
