AirsoftParts ULTRA LIGHT PST-UL is a significantly lightened AEG piston combining a high-strength plastic body with a full metal tooth rack with 14 teeth. The shape of the plastic body is based on a bionic design that uses material primarily in areas important for strength and rigidity while reducing the overall weight to just 13.3 g. The low weight means less inertia in the moving assembly, which is beneficial for a fast operating cycle and helps reduce dynamic stress on the gearbox. The second engagement tooth has been removed, providing clearance for proper sector gear engagement and AOE adjustment. For long-term operation, the piston is designed for a maximum M130 spring and RoF up to 20 BB/s. It is compatible with standard V2, V3, V6 and V7 gearboxes, but not with special designs such as PSG-1, SR25 or L85. When building a lightweight piston assembly, we recommend checking not only the piston weight itself, but also the AOE, tooth engagement, timing and free movement of the piston in the guide rails.
