AirsoftParts piston with full metal teeth is a durable AEG piston consisting of a high-strength plastic body and a metal rack with 14 teeth. The second engagement tooth has been removed, providing clearance for proper sector gear engagement and AOE adjustment while also helping in case of brief gun jams. The current Gen. 1.2 no longer has a lightened front section and has a total weight of 15.6 g. The piston is designed for springs up to M160 and is compatible with standard V2, V3, V6 and V7 gearboxes. It is not designed for extended or otherwise specific gearbox designs such as PSG-1, SR25 or L85. During installation, we recommend always checking the AOE, free movement of the piston in the guide rails and actual engagement of the sector gear with the metal rack – correct alignment of these components has a major impact on the reliability of the entire setup.

What Is the Difference Between Gen. 1.2 and the Older Version?
In Gen. 1.2, the lightening of the piston's front section has been removed. The current version therefore weighs 15.6 g, while the older lightened version weighed 14.95 g.
Why Has the Second Tooth Been Removed?
The modification of the second tooth provides clearance for better sector gear engagement with the piston teeth and proper AOE adjustment. It also helps reduce unwanted tooth contact during the operating cycle.
What Power Setup Is the Piston Designed For?
The maximum recommended spring is M160. For higher-performance setups, we recommend assessing the gearbox as a whole – the gears, motor, spring, piston head, AOE, overall timing and mechanical load are all important.
Is the Piston Compatible With an SR25 Gearbox?
No. Although the piston is designed for standard V2, V3, V6 and V7 gearboxes, it is not intended for special designs such as SR25, PSG-1 or L85.
