Why can't I use it in a gun without a MOSFET or ETU?

You technically can at your own risk, but in standard AEGs it will accelerate wear on the motor, gears, and especially the mechanical trigger contacts. Damage caused by this is not covered under warranty.

What is the difference compared to a Li-Pol battery?

Both provide faster trigger response and a higher rate of fire, but a Li-Ion battery offers up to twice the capacity in a similar size. In practice, while a Li-Pol battery may power around 1,500 shots, a Li-Ion battery of similar dimensions can deliver approximately 3,000 shots. Keep in mind that the cylindrical Li-Ion cells may not fit into very narrow battery compartments where slim Li-Pol batteries do.

How do I know when the battery is discharged?

You'll usually notice a lower rate of fire and slower trigger response. Many ETU-equipped guns also feature low-voltage protection. We recommend regularly checking battery voltage with a Li-Pol alarm or voltage tester, as deep discharge can permanently damage the cells.

Can I use a Li-Pol charger for a Li-Ion battery?

Most modern Li-Pol chargers include a dedicated Li-Ion charging mode, but always verify compatibility because Li-Pol cells (3.7V) have a different nominal voltage than Li-Ion cells (3.6V). In addition, 11.1V batteries require a higher-output charger with a balance function and intelligent charging control. Choose a charger rated at least 25W to avoid damaging the battery.
