AK, officially known as the Kalashnikov Automatic Rifle, was developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov in the late 1940s. It became the standard service rifle of the Soviet armed forces (AK-47) and thanks to its durability, reliability and ease of use, it is still used worldwide today. The AK-47 uses the 7.62×39mm cartridge, known for its stopping power and range. In the 1970s, the modernised AK-74 with a smaller 5.45×39mm cartridge was introduced.

The SA x KPYK PRIME™ series features exclusive external parts from the Ukrainian company KPYK® (KRUK), known for producing extremely durable AK accessories designed for real firearms and tested in combat. The SA-PJ14 model includes an M4 / AR15-type retractable stock and a KPYK® aluminium M-LOK handguard CRC 1U004 extending all the way to the muzzle, with an M-LOK upper handguard and top RIS rail. The rifle also features a side dovetail rail, allowing the mounting of classic AK or SVD top-mount optics bases.

Internal BLDC™ Parts and GATE ASTER II Bluetooth® V3 ETU

Inside the rifle you’ll find a precision brushless Dark Matter motor with a speed of 27–35000 rpm. The motor delivers higher efficiency and performance and significantly increases the RoF and trigger response. It provides up to 5× more shots per battery compared to classic motors (5000+ shots on 11.1V 1000mAh). It is housed in an aluminium shell for maximum durability, suitable up to M190 springs. The reinforced V3 gearbox handles M140 AEG springs. Inside it features CNC 16:1 steel gears, an ideal ratio that delivers excellent RoF and durability even with strong Specna Arms M135 springs. 8mm J-Cage bearings use ball bearings on the motor and piston gears, while the sector gear uses a slide bearing for higher durability. This combination is based on extensive testing and offers the best balance between durability and rotational speed.
Reinforced polycarbonate piston with 14 teeth provides ideal AoE and prevents gearbox lock-up. It is durable but does not slow down the shot. The piston includes a CNC piston head with enlarged ports for efficient airflow into the CNC double-sealed cylinder head, which is installed in a ribbed stainless cylinder that improves cooling during full-auto fire. Air is transferred via a CNC nozzle mounted on a reinforced nozzle tappet. Reliable feeding is ensured by a strong tappet spring and a delay cam on the sector gear.
The AK PRIME™ rifle comes with the GATE ASTER II Bluetooth® V3 electronic control unit, which ensures safe switching, protects internal parts, improves trigger response, extends battery life, increases RoF and allows the safe use of 7.4V and 11.1V Li-Po batteries. Thanks to the CGS app for Android, iOS and Windows/Mac, you can configure the unit easily. All settings are displayed directly on your phone without the need for a programming card. The app also allows firmware updates.
The features of the ASTER II Bluetooth® V3 include active brake, binary trigger, adjustable trigger sensitivity, pre-cocking, programmable firing modes including DMR mode and smart trigger. The battery connector is T-Dean with wiring routed under the top cover above the gearbox. For accuracy, the rifle includes a 6.02 mm inner barrel with a Helium Flat-Hop bucking installed in the redesigned MAGNUS™ chamber with a TDC pressure system. The package includes three AEG springs of different strengths (M90, M115, M135). Thanks to the ESA2 quick spring change, you can replace the spring in moments by removing the stock tube and the spring guide cover.

Warning

• Some manufacturers’ springs are significantly overrated (e.g., an M130 spring may perform like M140–150), which may exceed the declared gearbox strength. We recommend using only the included Specna Arms springs. With other brands, an M120 spring is generally the safe choice.
• When installing springs with progressive (irregular) coils, ensure the tighter coil end is placed on the spring guide facing outward from the gearbox.
• Never store the rifle with a connected battery.
• Never store the rifle with pre-cocking enabled. Always release the piston forward before storage to avoid spring damage.
